Last November I installed a K&N CAI. No issues until now. See attached pic.
I checked the connection to the mass airflow sensor and all the piping connections. All looks good and no check engine light. One thing I noticed was my around-town gas mileage increased by 2-3 mpg since the message. Any ideas? Thanks.

After installing it, did you go into the settings menu on the DIC and "DISABLE" the Air Filter Life?

Oddly enough I have the S&B, been installed since January 1st, and the same message has been popping up on every engine start for the past month or so. The indicator is still disabled per the install instructions, and everything looks good. I’m interested to hear others’ experience. I was curious if one of the over the air updates may have triggered something. Keep us posted please.

Oh no! Yes, and we just recently had an over the air update. I, too, have the S&B. I guess we will see what happens as you said.

No I didn’t and that’s a great suggestion. I only have 3,200 miles on it. Thanks

i want to say i have seen numerous reports of this message...and mainly do the S&B intakes...

i run a MIT and filter from a stock box...and an aftermarket MAF sensor...ZERO messages, curently about 40K with intake and maybe a 5000 with sensor.

i will say the sensor has the exact part number on the housing as my GM (could be same supplier)...but i did notice a dramatic change in commanded A/F ratio after install

I am about to install a Soler throttle body and Jet Performance Powr-Flo MAF sensor. I did see on a YouTube clip that I will need to do some specific starting/stopping of idling on my vehicle and then after that, I will need to do approximately 5 drive cycles of over 44mph. The clip stated this is needed to properly tune the MAF sensor. The clip said to start with...3 minutes idle, 1 minute off; 3 minutes idle, 1 minute off and then the drive cycles. Hopefully this is all that is needed and I will not need any software flashing.

I also installed the K&N and was having this issue until I went in an did what DAW suggested. It works and I haven't had an issue since, been over four years now.

I have had the S&B for 3-4 years now and no issues at all. I clean it every oil change because of the dust and have it disabled. Maybe just lucky. Looking at swapping out the LT4 for a 6.6 twin screw and I would most likely use it on there too.

This is normal.

This is normal if you haven't turned off the notice. Had this happen on my 2021 Tahoe after I installed my Airaid CAI.
