2024 LT-- AC

I have noticed on my 24, the AC will at times, blow warmer air for maybe 15 seconds and then goes back to cold air. It almost seems like when you slow down a bit is when it happens. Its been really hot in Florida, and we just were on vacation and this happened numerous times. Is this normal? My 21 never did this. Like I said it only lasts for several seconds and then goes back to normal? Just was interested if anyone else has encountered this issue, and if it was indeed something that needed to be fixed. The truck is under factory warranty, but before I make an appointment, I wanted to see if it was indeed something that needs to be fixed. Thank you.

Taking mine to the dealership tomorrow to have this AC issues looked at. Now when accelerating with the AC on, there is a winding whiney noise.. hard to explain. If I turn the ac off it goes away. My 21 did not make that noise, so I am assuming it is not normal in the refresh models--5.3 V8. Anyone else experience this? The little research I can find, it sounds like it may be a faulty compressor.

Sorry you didn't get any responses here, I guess this is a pretty unique problem.

Please keep us posted on what they find, and I hope it's an easy fix.

Yeah, I hope so too. I have a feeling its the compressor, just hope the dealership agrees lol. I bought the truck back in April and it did not make the noise I hear now when I first got it, so it has to be something.

Have the 2024 TB 5.3l and have noticed an intermittent weird noise from AC also…it does sound like an engine whining and stops when I cut the air off and turn it back on. Let us know what they find, mine has only done it about 5 times in a year and I know it won’t do it for the service department if I take it in.

I took it in. The truck was not throwing any codes, and they claimed all is normal. I still think something is not right. I wish I had another refreshed truck to drive to see if it is in fact the normal sound of the truck. All I know is, my 21 did not sound like my 24 does. The AC does work just fine, so maybe it is the way it sounds. I intend to keep a close eye on it and see where it goes.
